As a Psychologist, Board Certified Licensed clinical social worker,
life coach, certified hypnotherapist, a crisis interventionist and
nationally certified addictions professional, Dr. Jamie Huysman’s
dynamic career has bridged all media with progressive and innovative
health services. His life has been dedicated his life to social advocacy
and providing a voice for those with a mental health challenge.
Whether he s “Dr. J” on air or Dr Huysman off the air, the focus of his career
has always been conveying and facilitating transformational energy. He has
been clinical consultant, for a myriad of national hospitals, independent
psychiatric and addictions centers. Representing treatment facilities as a
program developer ands a motivational speaker, “Dr J” continues to appear
nationwide conducting experiential retreats for caregivers, coaching and
“recharge weekends.”
Having appeared as a clinical expert on more than one hundred nationally
syndicated talk shows he has been referred to as the “Robin Hood of Talk TV,”
because of his assistance to guests and viewers. Through TV Aftercare™,
the first national network of healthcare providers designed to serve the
wellness needs of the talk, court and reality show industry, he has secured
almost 7 million dollars of treatment for over 700 guests and their families.
After The Geraldo Show he worked with Montel, The Leeza Show, Les
Brown Show, Moral Court, Talk or Walk, Boy Meets Boy, The Rick Sanchez
Show and Beyond with James Van Praagh. He also appeared as the
relationship expert on Men Are from Mars, Women Are From Venus.
Today, his on camera airtime is working with his friend, Leeza.
Gibbons on Leeza Live and on Lifetime TV each week.
Dr. J has dedicated his life to writing and implementing powerful contemporary
programs that reach people on a different and relatable level His new programs
that were written for The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation are being used
currently around the country. Memory Television™, Picture Yourself and his
national workshop for caregivers Take the Oxygen First, also an upcoming
book he is writing with Leeza.
Dr Huysman uses creative experiential programming using the power of television
and entertainment to transform and motivate people on their healing journeys.
He continues to do this with journalist, TV talk host Leeza Gibbons serving as
Co-founder and serving as her Executive Director for The Leeza Gibbons Memory
Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to reaching caregivers through education,
empowerment and energy.
He can be seen weekly at 9:30 AM EST On The Lifetime Network. There,
he discuss caregiver issues of all types with his close friend and Chairman
of the Board for LGMF, Ms Leeza Gibbons.
